As Naim has always taken into consideration the interests of the communities in which it operates and is an advocate of community development, it is collaborating with Curtin University, Sarawak, Malaysia (Curtin Sarawak), Curtin University’s largest international campus, for a community project in the form of a short video competition promoting high-rise living.

Curtin Sarawak’s award-winning Department of Media, Culture and Communication, a component of its School of Business, is highly regarded as a leading provider or media and communications studies in Malaysia. The department, with the support of the university’s Corporate Communications Department, is contributing its technical expertise and experience in organising and participating video competitions to this competition.

This unique and innovative competition themed ‘My Dream High-rise Home’ is organised with the following objectives:

• To gauge the community’s view as to what constitutes ideal high-rise living.
• To educate the public on the benefits of high-rise living.
• To expose the public to the art of video production and producing compelling marketing messages through digital means.
• To provide an exciting platform for local talents to demonstrate their talent and creativity.

Participants of this competition are required to produce video clips of no more than five minutes on their ideal high-rise home and the benefits of high-rise living. The videos should appeal to both young urbanites who are attracted to high-rise living in apartments or condominiums, and families looking to own safe, convenient and tastefully designed high-rise homes. Concepts from the entries may be adapted for Naim Land’s corporate video promoting its new high-rise properties to be built in Sarawak.

Attractive cash prizes will be awarded to the top three winners and winners of the People’s Choice, Best Script, Best Actor or Actress and Best Director awards, in addition to trophies and certificates of participation.
