Latest news on PTPTN
Started from 1st July 2010, the PTPTN Loan application will only be available through online at this website www.ptptn.gov.my.
Starting Jun 2008, PTPTN has recalculated the insurance deduction on a new premium rate. All current PTPTN loan borrowers will undergo an insurance deduction for the purpose of protecting their loan based on their study period and loan repayment period. Insurance deduction will be done every semester when the loans are disbursed. The insurance deduction amount is RM0.96 for every RM1, 000 of loan amount. For current loan borrowers whose insurance deduction before this is less than the amount stated, the amount will be recalculated and extra deduction will be made.
From 1st January 2012, students that want to apply PTPTN Education Financing are COMPULSORY to have SSPN account with minimum savings as much as RM20.00.
However, in order for the students to apply the loan through online, there are few steps that the students need to follows:-
• Obtain Offer Letter to Diploma/Degree (CSM)
• Open CIMB saving account
• Purchase BSN Pin Number for application purpose
• Prepare all the documents as per CHECKLIST provided by Loans & Scholarships Office

Eligibility Criteria
• Malaysian Citizen
• SPM - with minimum 3 Credits
• Full-time enrolled Diploma & Degree student of Curtin Sarawak Malaysia (CSM)
• Full-time enrolled Degree student of Curtin Sarawak Malaysia (CSM)
• Must have at least one more year of study at CSM at point of applying PTPTN
• Existing CSM Foundation student must obtain 5 credits in SPM
• Not presently holding other scholarships/loans (including PTPTN)
Amount Of Award & Duration
• Maximum RM 16,000 per annum For Commerce or Arts programme
• Maximum RM 16,500 per annum Engineering & Science programme
• Maximum RM8,000 per annum for Diploma in Business programme
• Duration based on agreement signed with PTPTN
