Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering is fully accredited by Engineers Australia and by the Board of Engineers Malaysia. To qualify for the grade of corporate member of these institutions, graduates are required to obtain 12 weeks engineering work experience and a senior first aid certificate. Honours are awarded to graduates based upon their performance during the four years of the course.

association for the advancement of technology. Being the first IEEE Student Branch in Sarawak, the Curtin University of Technology
Sarawak Malaysia IEEE Student Branch is active in promoting the IEEE through exciting and informative events ranging from technical workshops to engineering projects as well as organizing gathering for the members to get close with each other. In the future,
a list of events will be organized and hope that these events could help the members in gaining valuable knowledge and skills.
The branch was established in April 2008 and is the 10th IEEE Student Branch in Malaysia. Mr. Waseem Ahmed, the advisor as well as
the Head of Department of Electrical/Communication Engineering & Computing, who took the initiative to start up this student branch together with the executive councils. The branch is aims to be recognized as the most dynamic IEEE Student Branch in Malaysia.
Their mission is to promote the value of learning, self-worth and quality performance among students and staff, and transition for
students to be productive and responsible participants in society.
