Desktop Notice (staff & student) NOTICE SUBMISSION

 

Type of Notice

  • Announcement of activities (eg. Seminars & Campaigns)
  • No notice of individual interest is allowed

Prepare the Notice

  • Prepare/design your notice in MS PowerPoint.
    • Page Setup properties are:
      Width: 10 Inches
      Height: 7.5 Inches
      Orientation - Slides: Landscape
  • Convert the PowerPoint file to JPEG
    • In PowerPoint, go to "File" -> "Save As"
    • At the "Save as type", select "JPEG File Interchange Format (*.jpg)"
    • Click Save
    • When you see the prompt "Do you want to export every slide in the presentation? To export only the current slide, click No.", click on the button "No"
  • Check the resolution & file size of your notice
    • Resolution: 720 x 540
    • File size: less than 200KB

Get approval

  1. Provide information of the notice headline, start date, expiry date & target group (either student only or staff only or both student & staff).
  2. Send your notice to HOD (Head of Department) for approval; this is to ensure accountability of the information to be distributed.
  3. HOD/Admin Assistant (AA) to email the approved notice to it.helpdesk@curtin.edu.my

Notice submission schedule

Submission Earliest start day
Monday 8.30 am - 12.00 noon Tuesday (the day after submission)
Wednesday 8.30 am - 12.00 noon Thursday (the day after submission)

**Late submission will NOT be entertained.
