Terms & Condition for ARS & Short-term Accommodation Request
1. Curtin University of Technology (Sarawak campus) provides Airport Reception Service (ARS) & Short-Term Accommodation booking for FREE for it's first time international & non-local students. It is NOT available for returning students & / or the accompanying persons.
2. Request must be made through prescribed "Airport Reception Service & Short-Term Accommodation Request Form". The completed Form must reach International Office either by Facsimile / mail at least 3 (THREE) working days in advance.
3. For the purpose of defining, "Airport Reception Service" shall means "to greet at Miri Airport & send to campus/ on-campus accommodation".
4. The ARS is available during weekdays (Monday to Friday), at 2pm daily. Students are to look for our Representative who normally holds the University's banner / signage near Information Counter. DO NOT LEAVE THE AIRPORT WITH ANY INDIVIDUAL UNLESS HE/SHE PRODUCES PROPER IDENTIFICATION AS THE UNIVERSITY'S NOMINATED REPRESENTATIVE.
5. To cater for students who arrive in Miri after office hours and/or during weekends (Saturday & Sunday) AND have made request for Short-Term Accommodation, we have Representative to greet you at 7pm & 11pm at Miri Airport (to recognise, please read item 4 above) and send you to your choice of hotel. You can then request for Shuttle Service to transfer you from Hotel to Campus the next working day of the University, at cost to you.
6. The Short-Term Accommodation at Telang Usan Hotel includes boarding (no meal) & free shuttle from Miri Airport. Charges as follow at time of printing: - Single (Standard) RM 55.00 per night
7. Payment for Short-Term Accommodation & shuttle service from Hotel to Campus can be made by Visa / Mastercard. However, you need to prepare some Cash in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) for meals. |
