Job Title: Project Manager / Engineer -The successful candidate will have experience in developing new projects in emerging markets, with a preference for Asian and or palm oil industry experience. -The role of this manager will be to co-ordinate the parties involved including: * The various civil, mechanical and production engineers designing and installing the plant at each mill * The managers of each palm oil mill * Those working for the investment vehicle in KL (including the mills relationship manager and the financial controller) Climate Change Capital's senior management team in London The successful candidate is likely to have the following experience and skills: -We are looking for an engineer by background, certainly English speaking (possibly English national), Malay speaker also and possibly also the local Chinese dialect if possible. -Experience of dealing with EPC contractors. -Experience of industrial process management, ideally in the palm oil industry -Experience of managing projects in Malaysia working with Malaysian nationals. -Experience in budgeting, cost control and interpreting high-level financial reports -The ability to work with cashflow models for project management -Excellent communication skills: both verbal and written -The successful candidate will have the flexibility to be able to work on-site for a few days at a time in various palm oil plantations throughout Malaysia. -The successful candidate is likely to have English as a first language and considerable experience working in complex engineering projects in Malaysia. -Academic qualifications to degree level are not a pre-requisite but would be favorably considered. -This is an excellent opportunity to managed a varied role in a novel technology and fast-growing greenhouse gas abatement industry.

These include financing renewable energy installations in the United Kingdom; destroying industrial gases in India and China; advice on the acquisition and divestiture strategy for Private Equity funds and carbon intensive industry in Europe; and waste to energy projects in China and Hungary. With over US $1.6 billion under management, CCC aims to provide superior returns to investors, demonstrating the economic opportunity associated with the low carbon economy.
Salary Range : OPEN and Negotiable. This is a contract on a consultancy basis.
Location: Sabah, Northern half of Borneo The candidate does not necessarily have to live on the island, perhaps they live in mainland Malaysia or Brunei but they would have to spend most of the working week near the projects in Sabah.
