Academic Status
The Board of Examiner's shall determine a student's academic status at the end of each study period for each student enrolled in
an award course.
Categories of Academic Status:

Description |
| Good Standing |
Semester Weighted Average (SWA) => 50%. The student is permitted to continue in the course and to re-enrol. |
| Conditional |
The student has failed 50% or more of the units the student was enrolled in and with a current
status of GOOD STANDING.
The Board of Examiners MAY determine a status of Conditional if the student met the criteria below:
- the student has attained a SWA of less than 50.00
- the student has failed a core unit
The student is permitted to enrol in that course subject to the statutes and rules of the University and under such conditions as may be determined by the BOE. These conditions shall be communicated
to the student in writing. |
| Terminated |
Semester Weighted Average <= 39% with a current academic status of GOOD STANDING, or a Semester Weighted Average less than 50 with a current academic status of CONDITIONAL.
The student is not permitted to continue in the course without approval from the Academic Registrar. The student should make an appeal to the Academic Registrar within 28 calendar days after publication of results. |
