GPA and CGPA Calculations
GPA (Grade Point Average) and CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average)
Each letter grade corresponds to a numerical value called a quality point:
A student's academic performance is determined at the end of each semester by computing an average of the grades she/he has received during that semester.
To arrive at the semester grade point average (GPA), the products (credits x quality points)
are added and then divided by the number of credits taken.
The cumulative grade point average (CGPA) - an average of grades from two or more semesters - equals the sum of the products of all the grades at Curtin University of Technology, Sarawak Campus divided by the total number of credits hours taken.
For loan purposes, if the CGPA fails below 2.0, the loan providers will decide whether to disburse money to the students based on their every semester results.
