Human Resources

 

Information relating to managing staff at Curtin, including recruitment, employment, payroll, staff development, grievances, complaints and staff relations.  This includes all people working at Curtin such as permanent, casual and temporary staff, associates, trainees and apprentices.

 

Second Level Groupings

Grievances & Complaints

  • Information relating to the management and resolution of unlawful or unjust involving Curtin staff such as bullying, harassment, discrimination and misconduct.     Includes disciplinary action and appeals.
  • Payroll
  • Information relating to the payment of salaries and other entitlements to Curtin employees, processing payroll deductions and notifying employees of their employments-related tax, liabilities.  Includes salary scales, salary packaging, superannuation, deductions, allowances, work rosters and leave entitlements.
  • Recruitment & Employment
  • Information relating the recruitment, selection, appointment and ongoing employment staff.  Includes the development of position descriptions, job advertisements, working conditions, inductions, promotions, redeployments and terminations.
  • Staff Development
  • Information relating to the development of staff within their professional role at Curtin through training, study support and personal improvement and career development programs.  Includes individual and team rewards and recognition, academic promotion, conferences, and professional memberships as well as rehabilitation, mentoring and performance management plans and reviews.
  • Staff Files           
  • Human resource information relating to specific staff members and associates.
  • Staff Relations
  • Information relating to the employer relationship between Curtin and its entire staff.  Includes enterprising bargaining, rewards and recognition schemes, industrial action, pre-retirement plans and staff satisfaction surveys.
