Information relating to the management of Curtin’s financial resources, including accounting, financial planning, budgeting, insurance and payroll.
Second Level Groupings
Accounting
- Information relating to the processing, recording, classification analysis of financial transaction, between Curtin and other organisations or individuals (including Curtin employees). Includes income, expenditure, taxation, expenses, reimbursements, write-offs, rent bonds, travel expenses, disbursements, internal charges and payments to honorary appointees and other third parties.
- Information relating to forecasting Curtin’s annual income and expenditure, planning the utilisation of financial resources and monitoring actual against planned and expenditure. Includes funding, budgeting, reconciliation, invoicing, credit cards and investments.
- Information relating to insuring Curtin’s assets and activities by taking out maintaining individual insurance policies and liaising with insurers regarding claims. Includes workers compensation, public liability professional indemnity, travel and building and contents insurance.
- Payroll
- Information relating to the payment of salaries and other entitlements to Curtin employees, processing payroll deductions and notifying employees of their employment related tax liabilities. Includes salary scales, salary packaging, superannuation, deductions, allowances, work rosters and leave entitlements.
