External research grant incentives scheme
Aim
To encourage academic staff of Curtin Sarawak Malaysia to write
research proposals and win research grants from external agencies.
To recognise the contributions of the staff in obtaining research
grants.
- Introduction
The achievement in attracting external research funding is often
used as a benchmark in the evaluation and ranking of universities.
The competition for external research grants is always keen and
highly competitive. The success of research grant applications is
often based on the quality, relevance and the scholastic content
of the research proposals. Therefore, research project proposals
should be of very high quality.
- External research grant incentives scheme
-
Curtin Sarawak Malaysia has established an incentive scheme to encourage
and motivate its researchers to prepare quality research proposals
and win research grants from external funding agencies. The financial
incentive is based on the value of the total research grant obtained
from the external agencies. The details of the research grant incentive,
the disbursement of the incentive and the terms and conditions are
explained herein.
- Amount of Incentive
The financial incentive based on the total research grant obtained
is shown in the following Table.
