Welcome message

Curtin Sarawak is a campus of Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Western Australia and was established in partnership with the Sarawak Government.

Curtin Sarawak Malaysia aspires to be an internationally renowned campus of Curtin University of Technology. The Sarawak Campus in Miri - the main city in northern Sarawak - was purpose built as a campus in a garden and is the first branch campus of Curtin University in Australia. Curtin University of Technology has been actively involved in Malaysian education for nearly two decades and the establishment of this university campus, which was completed at the beginning of 2002, ensures that Curtin Sarawak will become an increasingly strong influence and contributor to Malaysian tertiary education.

Curtin Sarawak is a state-of-the-art campus with excellently equipped laboratories and teaching facilities, which provide an ideal educational environment for students from Sarawak, other parts of Malaysia and further afield. Currently Curtin Sarawak has some 2,000 students from over 40 different countries.

The wide range of courses currently available on the Sarawak campus is identical to the courses offered at the University's main campus in Perth. Students studying these courses at Sarawak also have the opportunity to spend one or more semesters in Perth with no disruption to their studies, The degree students receive at the successful conclusion of their studies in Miri is the same as the graduates from the Perth campus.

Staff at the Curtin Sarawak Campus are highly qualified. Just as with the student cohort, staff members come not just from Malaysia but also from Australia and numerous other countries. The highly qualified staff have allowed the campus to develop a number of research centres, many of which are linked to research programs at the University's Perth campus. There are already a number of masters and doctoral students studying at the Sarawak campus taking advantage of the unique opportunities that Sarawak has to offer.

Curtin Sarawak offers an exciting and stimulating environment with excellent teaching, outstanding facilities and a fee structure which is extremely reasonable by international standards. The campus has already produced five groups of graduates with prestigious, internationally recognised Curtin degrees.

You will find studying at Curtin Sarawak an enjoyable, stimulating and rewarding experience.
